In November 1992, Ferme Gauthier from St-Hyacinthe,
Quebec, Canada changed to Sunny Pines Farm in
Lucama, North Carolina, U.S.A. Francois decided to move
in 1992 and created a new home for BOGGIES FLASHY
JAC and all his mares and babies. We are situated on 80
acres of land and paddocks an hour east of Raleigh,
North Carolina. The farm boasts a 150 X 300 outdoor
arena and 125 by 250 indoor arena, three round pens, a
trotter, six barns and a breeding lab. Francois Gauthier
showed his first reiner at the age of ten. That was in 1966,
when reining was part of the stock horse class. He has
now been training reiners for thirty-five years.

Francois's father was the first Quarter Horse breeder in
Quebec. He began with a stallion by Magnolia Dunny, sire
of Rando's King. "Reining was always strong in Quebec,"
according to Gauthier. However, he went in search of
longer summers and made the decision to move to
eastern North Carolina.
